“As Shabbat comes in, I think of Hillel’s famous line: “What’s hateful to you, don’t do to others. The rest is commentary, go learn.”
It’s a call for empathy, a reminder to treat others with the same care we hope to receive. Since October 7, that spirit has guided so much of what we’ve done. We’ve shown up for one another, stood tall against antisemitism, and begun to bridge the deep divides within our people. We’ve mobilized in ways we never imagined.
In the past few weeks, Jews and allies around the world came together to help Yuval Raphael win the Eurovision popular vote. This week, we turned our focus to the hostages, still held in brutal captivity. It has been 600 days. We’re flooding social media with one clear message: the world must not forget. We won’t let them.
As members of the Voice of the People council, we are part of something bigger. Not just words, but action. Not just hope, but movement.
Shabbat Shalom. Let’s keep going.
