blueprints for change: March

From Launch to Momentum

After months of preparation, March marked a powerful milestone for Voice of the People: the successful launch of our inaugural conference in Haifa. It was more than just an event. It was the beginning of something much larger. 150 council members, 10 fellows, 10 facilitators, and our full VOP team gathered from across the globe to kick off a two-year journey of action, dialogue, and collaboration.

Now that the conference is behind us, the real work begins.

A Historic Launch: The VOP Conference

In the first week of March, we made history. For the first time, an international group of Jewish changemakers spanning generations, regions, and political and religious perspectives came together in one place. Over four packed days, council members met their teams, engaged in meaningful discussions, heard from innovators and survivors, and began laying the foundation for the work ahead.

Capturing the Moment

The energy from the conference didn’t stay in Haifa. Our story reached media outlets around the world, from Germany to Chile, the UK to Israel. Journalists covered the summit’s ambition, the diversity of the participants, and the relevance of this initiative in today’s Jewish landscape.
We compiled all the coverage into one place. Check out the full PR roundup.

From Event to Action: The Council Gets to Work

After the intensity of the conference, the focus shifted to building momentum. Council members have started meeting in their teams, now supported through our newly launched digital platform, the VOP Hub. It’s a space for collaboration, connection, and continued engagement.
The first working sessions are already underway, and we’re seeing the early signs of what’s possible when diverse minds come together with purpose.

Reflect, Learn, Build

March was also a time for listening. We collected feedback from council members, reviewed responses from the closing ceremony survey, and started gathering insights that will help guide the next phase of our work. Behind the scenes, our team has been organizing hundreds of photos, videos, and materials captured throughout the conference, with more content being shared soon.
This work is grounded in community, clarity, and accountability. The journey forward is one we are building together.

What’s Next?

In the weeks ahead, we’ll continue sharing moments, stories, and reflections from the conference as the work unfolds. One of the first things to come is the release of our data report, based on the survey over 10,000 of you responded to and which shaped the five team topics the 10 teams of our council will be working on. The conversations that began in Haifa are still echoing, and we’re looking forward to seeing how they evolve, one voice at a time.
